A shooting at a street festival in Toronto has left at least two people dead and six others injured, according to local police. The incident occurred on St Clair Avenue in midtown Toronto, where the annual Salsa on St Clair Latin festival was taking place.
Police in Canada's largest city said they first received reports of an active shooter on St Clair Avenue at approximately 20:12 local time. When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered six individuals suffering from gunshot wounds. Two of the victims were pronounced dead at the scene.
