South Korea's Tom Kim brought an end to a three-year title drought with a victory at the Genesis Scottish Open, carding a faultless final-round 64 to finish 17 under par at the Renaissance Club.
The 24-year-old had struggled for both form and confidence since his previous victory, a period that also saw him plummet down the world rankings. His performance on a compelling final day served as a reminder of his talents.
A Commanding Final Round
Kim's closing 64 was a faultless display that carried him to a 17-under-par total, good enough for a two-shot victory. The win marks his first title in three years and represents a significant moment in his career after a prolonged period of difficulty.
Australia's Min Woo Lee finished as the runner-up at 15 under par, while Scotland's Bob MacIntyre was unable to complete his pursuit of a second home title. The crowd favourite faltered on the final day, finishing four shots adrift of Kim at 13 under.
Crowded Leaderboard at Renaissance Club
MacIntyre was not alone at 13 under, with England's Matt Fitzpatrick, American J Keefer, and Japan's K Nakajima all finishing at the same mark. A further shot back at 12 under were American M Thorbjornsen and Northern Ireland's R McIlroy.
