Vice President JD Vance and his wife Usha have announced the arrival of their fourth child, a baby boy named Alec Neel Vance, who was born on Sunday morning.
The vice president shared the news through a statement posted on social media, confirming that both mother and newborn are doing well following the delivery at Walter Reed Medical Center.

According to the Associated Press, the birth of Alec Neel Vance represents the first time a baby has been born to a sitting vice president of the United States while in office in more than 150 years.
The newest addition to the family joins three older siblings: Ewan, aged nine, Vivek, aged six, and four-year-old Mirabel.
Usha Vance's Background and the Couple's Origins
Usha Vance, whose maiden name is Chilukuri, grew up in the working-class suburbs of San Diego, California. Her father worked as a mechanical engineer and her mother as a molecular biologist. Both of her parents had relocated to the United States from Andhra Pradesh, India.
