ABC's long-running business competition series "Shark Tank" is gearing up for its 18th season this fall, and the show is bringing a new wave of high-profile investors to its panel. The upcoming season introduces a mix of guest sharks drawn from entertainment, sports and the digital business world.
Who Is Joining the Tank
Among the incoming guest sharks is Jimmy Donaldson, better known as MrBeast, who will appear alongside Jeffrey Housenbold, the CEO of his company Beast Industries. The pairing brings the reach of one of the internet's biggest personalities into the negotiating room.
Also stepping into the tank is Mindy Kaling, the writer, director, actor and "The Office" star, along with former NFL standout J.J. Watt. The lineup further includes Favorite Daughter co-founders Erin Foster and Sara Foster, who will have the opportunity to invest in emerging start-ups.
Rounding out the guest roster is Steven Bartlett, host of the "Diary of a CEO" podcast. Bartlett is also familiar with the format from the other side of the Atlantic, serving as a panelist on "Dragons' Den," the U.K. counterpart to "Shark Tank."
New Permanent Cast Members
Two investors who previously served as guest sharks have earned permanent seats on the panel. Lifestyle brand founder Kendra Scott, who first appeared during Season 12, and Harbinger Sports partner Rashaun Williams, who debuted in Season 16, have both been promoted to full-time cast members.
