Apple TV+ Strengthens Its Science Fiction Lineup
Apple TV+ has increasingly positioned itself as a leading destination for prestige television, with a particularly strong offering in the science fiction category. The platform's catalog includes titles such as Slow Horses, Severance, Foundation, For All Mankind, Murderbot, Silo, Pluribus, and Widow's Bay. The upcoming Neuromancer series adds another high-profile project to this growing list, bringing William Gibson's seminal 1984 cyberpunk novel to the screen.
During San Diego Comic-Con, the streaming platform released a brief teaser for the adaptation. Running approximately one minute, the footage provided audiences with their first visual look at the series and its interpretation of Gibson's influential world.
Story and Cast Details
According to the official logline, the series follows Case, a damaged but top-tier super-hacker who is drawn into a web of digital espionage. He is joined by his partner Molly, a razor-girl assassin with mirrored eyes. Together, they set out to execute a heist against a corporate dynasty harboring untold secrets.
Callum Taylor, known for portraying Theseus Scamander in the Fantastic Beasts franchise, takes on the lead role of Case. He is joined by Briana Middleton, recognized for her work in The Inheritance, who plays Molly.
The supporting cast is extensive and includes Mark Strong as Armitage, Joseph Lee as Hideo, Clemence Poesy as Marie-France Tessier, Peter Sarsgaard as John Ashpool, Emma Laird as Linda Lee, Max Irons as Jean Tessier-Ashpool, Dane DeHaan as Peter Riviera, Marc Menchaca as Dixie Flatline, Andre de Shields as Julius Deane, and Isabella Pappas as Mitchell.
